Our Programs

Our programs focus on three areas where the evidence is clearest and the need is greatest: clean water, education, and agricultural development. We also extend our reach through partnerships in healthcare and community livelihoods.

WHAT WE DO

Building a Sustainable Future for Haiti

Every project we take on starts with a community invitation. We don’t show up uninvited. We sit with local leaders, understand the priorities, and co-design solutions that local people have the capacity to sustain. That’s what makes our work last.

Education

We partner with schools in rural Haiti to strengthen the conditions for learning — starting with the basics. A school without clean water can’t stay open reliably. A school garden can offset food costs and teach agricultural skills. These investments compound.

Our school partnerships are built for the long term. We measure progress through attendance, resource savings, and the school’s growing ability to sustain itself independently.

Water & Sanitation

Access to clean water is the foundation for everything else. Without it, children miss school to haul water from miles away. Farmers lose crops in the dry season. Preventable diseases spread.

We build wells, reservoirs, and solar-powered water systems designed to serve communities year-round — and to keep working long after we’ve stepped back. Every system we install includes a maintenance guarantee through our partnership with Water For Life Haiti.

Agricultural Development

Farming is both the livelihood and the heritage of rural Haiti. We invest in farmers — through water infrastructure, irrigation systems, and practical support — to help them produce more, earn more, and build lasting food security for their families and communities.

In Les Cayes, our partnership with AHDD helped farmers harvest over 25,000 kg of crops following the 2021 earthquake. In St. Michel, a school saved more than $2,200 in water costs in a single year, reinvesting those resources directly into students.

Healthcare — In Partnership

We partner with Hope for Haiti to bring mobile health clinics to the rural communities we serve. LFF handles community outreach and mobilization — Hope for Haiti’s medical teams provide the care. Together, we’ve reached over 500 community members annually in remote villages.

Community Livelihoods — In Partnership

Economic opportunity is inseparable from community self-reliance. We support local livelihoods through vocational skills development and by connecting communities to resources that help parents provide for their families — keeping children in school and reducing economic vulnerability.

Clean Water in Les Cayes

Project Spotlight

In partnership with AHDD, we built a 70,000-gallon rain catchment and reservoir system in Les Cayes — giving farmers, families, and schools year-round access to clean water and helping restore agricultural production following the 2021 earthquake.
